February 2009 recap

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

I sense a disturbance in the mana. Magic wasn’t so agitated this February. I’ll just assume it’s a matter of natural events that caused this, which would in turn mean we’re going to be fine in the future. After all, there are some new rules in place meant to deal with this problem specifically. Let’s review our tournament status.

January 2009 recap

Sunday, January 25th, 2009

This year started with a few hiccups, because of our playing location. The games were good, even though this chase for a new location affected us in some way. We’ve played 2 tournaments so far, since yesterday’s got canceled due to lack of players.

We drafted last Saturday, and there’s still a bitter taste in our mouths. Well, except for Ender, who opened a Sarkhan Vol. Drafting Shards of Alara isn’t quite as easy and fun as drafting Lorwyn/Morningtide.

Two Headed Giant winner:
One was a faerie, the other a goblin

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Last Saturday we played the first sanctioned multiplayer event. It was very nice to see everyone taking it deadly serious, and presenting specially crafted decks for the event. We’re all looking forward to the next 2HG event, which, alas, we won’t make until next month.

The draft was a success! We’ve had fun playing and we’re definitely iterating this event. We’re thinking about a constructed next week.
