February 2009 recap
March 1st, 2009I sense a disturbance in the mana. Magic wasn’t so agitated this February. I’ll just assume it’s a matter of natural events that caused this, which would in turn mean we’re going to be fine in the future. After all, there are some new rules in place meant to deal with this problem specifically. Let’s review our tournament status.
Conflux Prerelease results
A bit of a harsh participation here. Thankfully, we’ve had 8 players and the tournament did go through. I thought maybe we could repeat this process soon enough, but alas we didn’t.
February 7 Standard results
This event wasn’t sanctioned due to lack of participation, but there were 6 players, which is the minimum to bear for organized play. Tournament standings as follows.
February 28 Draft ALA/CON/CON results
A nice experience, and really interesting to see so many multicolored decks in play. I’m also glad we’ve managed to gather in a decent number for tournament play.
Well, I can only hope for more tournaments to come alive every Saturday. Otherwise, maybe we should consider Alex’s opinion of only having 2 tournaments a month, but with more players. Would that work?
