A Golden Discovery

As you all probably know, Alara Reborn, the next set to be released and the final one of the Alara block, is coming straight at us with great speed. While the set is still far away, the very nice mages of the coast have decided to show us a preview card, but sadly, being evil wizards that they are, they erased all the magical rules text. But somehow, I get the feeling there’s more to this preview than meets the eye. Let’s have another look.

So what have we got here?…

  • Name - exciting, must be some kind of beneficial enchantment, going straight in my little guy deck.
  • Artist - nice, Chippy is known for drawing Esper scenes, but this is different.
  • Art - interesting, is that Elspeth?
  • Collector’s number - 1

Wait… Collector’s number - 1. That’s got to be a white card. Wizards always sort their cards in WUBRG order, followed by multicolor, then artifacts. So, the first card being multicolor means….

The whole set will be GOLD!

That’s one crazy move from the masters. Well, if you already can’t wait for the awesome multicolor action to come, head over to the forums and preorder some goodies. Don’t spend your prerelease money though!
