It took only two rounds to decide the answer to yesterday’s question. The finals were disputed between two Naya decks, so it was pretty obvious which Shard would win. By the way, my apologies for the misleading title of yesterday’s entry. It wasn’t a true dispute between the shards, because the “shards” rule wasn’t in place. We’ve just played a regular block constructed game.

I’ve smashed my way through the first two rounds, and so did Mydas, and in the final round two crushing forces met. It was the match Ajani Vengeant had to decide which side he was on, and it was he who decided the fate of that battle.
The third and fourth places were both occupied by Esper, a shard so cold, so predictable and yet extremely deadly. I’ve seen Grixis take places 5 and 8, and Jund placed 6th and 7th, but where was Bant? How come nobody played Bant this time? Maybe we’ll figure that out in future encounters.
Of course, it’s not the shard that decides the fate of a battle, but the planeswalker himself/herself. And the more we fight, the more we learn and the better we’ll do next time. More about that in due time.
